Zander's Pure Lavender Essential Oil

Zander's Pure Lavender Essential Oil

Zander’s lavender oil definitely smell like the real thing. Undiluted and pure. I have run into so many different brands of lavender oil and so far Zander’s got the strong and the right scent. It’s quite easy to tell by how the scent affects you. Sniff the lavender oil with closed eye. You should smell this gentle lavender yet strong concentration and  it will end with a strong penetration. You will then still smell the lingering scent of the oil in your nostril.

Lavender has many many uses and one of them is for relaxation. For me lavender is the oil of relaxation and whenever I take a sniff of it, the fragrance takes me to an isolated field of lavender in the mountain. Of course, not all lavender oil can do this. Zander’s lavender oil is definitely my favorite for now.

I will absolutely treasure this oil and use with love and care.

Pure Lemon Essential Oil 5x strength

Pure Lemon Essential Oil 5x strength

The bottle came with a glass dropper
This lemon oil is very potent. In fact it is the strongest lemon oil I have ever used. This is a large 4 oz bottle which probably won’t last me a long time because I use it quite often. It is so good at exterminating stinky odors for practically anything I can name of; shoes, laundry, bathroom, dishes, socks.
I had a pretty awkward experience with a new mug. The mug smelled like sneaker rubber and I the nasty stench would not disappear even after I soaked it with soak. I proceeded with the lemon oil. I think I put too many drops (7). The cup smelled like lemon for days. The stench was taken care.
I do notice that this bottle of lemon oil has that laundry degergent scent. It works well but I do not recommend taking this internally. Use it externally only.

Amber Bottles for Essential Oil

Amber Bottles for Essential Oil

These little bottles are very cute and handy when you want to create your own essential oil blend. The bottles are very tiny so they are perfect for experimenting with your own blends.

I have many uses for them since I do make my own blends. I would use 1-2 drops of an essential oil and fill the rest of the bottle up with a carrier oil (fractioned coconut oil).
To keep track of things; tape a small piece of paper or post-it on the bottle with the name of the blend.

For example;

I write this one a bottle “mosquito bite”. I would know that this blend includes either frankincense or eucalyptus or both.

An oil for skin as moisturizer “face oil”. I use hyssop and rosehip oil. Ratio of 1:10.
The bottles also comes with orfice reducers so you can control the amount usage. Other you can just leave it out if you use the blend in a large dose.

Celtic Cross Aromatherapy Locket

Celtic Cross Aromatherapy Locket

The locket is about an inch and a half in size. Very attractive antique look. The locket hangs on a 18.5 inch lobster claw leather chord.

I’m not sure what the locket is made of but the closure part is magnetic. The locket is not. However there is a slight flaw with the design of the locket because the magnet is rather weak and can open without noticing. It is not a good idea to wear this locket if you move around or do a lot of exercising.

Inside of the locket is a circular piece of cloth. The cloth feels quite stiff. That is where you drop the essential oil. When you do that, close the locket and let it work it’s magic.

10 ml Roller bottle by 2pm

10 ml Roller bottle by 2pm

These frosted roller bottles are very pretty and came with stainless steel roller ball. The cap is made of aluminum.
They are great for mixing your own essential oil blends. I mixed Hyssop essential oil with rosehip oil ratio 1:10. You can also mix oil blend for bug and mosquito repellent; tea tree, frankincense, peppermint, etc. You will need carrier oil because essential oils are very strong and can’t irritate your skin.

After you made created your own blend, give the bottle a good shake and apply.
If roller bottle is stuck or difficult to dispense the oil.

Try this trick:

You will need a toothpick. Stick the end of the toothpick between the roller ball and the plastic. Go around the ball a few times. The more you do that the looser the roller ball will be.

Oil Of Youth Peppermint Essential Oil

Oil Of Youth Peppermint Essential Oil

The packaging was not very safe for a big bottle such as this. I noticed that the mailman dropped the package and I was lucky to receive it without any damage. I think a big bottle like this should be safely delivered in a small box but definitely not a bubble mailer.

The bottle came with a separate dropper which I was pleased because I don't have one myself and it came in very handy.
As for the peppermint oil I did not personally like the scent of it. Here is what happened:
The pricing is beyond affordable for a 4 fl oz bottle of peppermint oil.

Opened the bottle and took a very small sniff. I do this too all essential oils because you don't know if the oil is strong or weak. Never take a deep breathe first time. The little sniff already told me that the oil is weak because the scent did not penetrate my lungs with a chilly sensation. From my experience, it lacks the depth, strength and that chilly sensation you get from just sniffing real peppermint (plant or oil).
Sadly I could not feel it from this oil.
The oil has a very faint sweet scent and the closest thing I can compare the fragrance and strength of this peppermint oil is to the "doublemint chewing gum".

I also tested the oil by mixing a good amount of it with a carrier oil to see if it would freshen up my room with the smell. Although I didn't think the carrier oil was actually necessary I went ahead and test that. For the first day I could smell a very faint fragrance of the peppermint oil but on the third day I could no longer smell it. For this test I used about 3 tablespoons of a carrier oil and about 2 teaspoon of the peppermint oil.

This peppermint oil however DOES stand up to its value which is why I gave it a 4 stars instead of a 3. It just might not last a long time due to its weakness. I will use this in my laundry and have my clothes freshen up in the scent.

Frankincense Essential oil

Frankincense Essential oil

I have a little bottle of frankincense and almost ran out.
Is this a coincidence?
Anyways I've researched many ways to use frankincense oil and these are a few ways that I use my frankincense oil

- in laundry which makes your clothes smell really good
- Surprisingly a lot of people may not know this one; use for hair. After I finish washing my hair I would use a little bucket and fill it with 4 cups of warm water and add 2-3 drops of frankincense. Then I rinsed my hair in it for about 3 minutes. It leaves my hair smelling like frankincense! (you can do this with many oil)
- Another great use for frankincense is as a bug repellent! Summer is coming and I dread what it brings. Mosquitoes, yup. Fricking blood suckers.
What I would do is mix a few drop of the oil in carrier oil to dilute it OR you can just put 1 drop or 2 in the palms of your hands and rub all over your legs and arms.

These are just a few of great uses I have for frankincense. 10ml is little but it does last quite a long time!

Angelica Root Essential oil

Angelica Root Essential oil

I think that a lot of people have heard of lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint oil and so on but angelica root is on another level in my opinion on the scent.
The scent is not attractive, in fact it smells like Chinese medicine. You can even say angelica root is a traditional root used in Chinese medicine. I know that from childhood when my grandma brews soup from all sort of herbs and ginseng. Angelica root is just be one of them.  The reason for using angelica root in medicine and soup is that it helps to boost immune system, therefore helps the body to fight sickness.
That is correct, angelica root essential can be used to stimulate the immune system. Of course I’m not saying you should put it in your food. There is many other ways of using this oil to boost immune system, combat stress AND for detoxing. Here is what I use angelica root essential oil;

-   Mix 3 good drops of the angelica root oil with carrier oil. Ratio of 1:3. Use a piece of bandage that you can tape to the soles of your feet. You would need two pieces because we have two feet! Rub the mixed oil on both of the bandage. Carefully place the oiled side of the bandages on the soles of your feet and tape the sides so that it will not fall off.  I recommend this right before you go to bed. This will HELP your body detox.

 -          Another great way of using angelica root oil is by rubbing it on scars, bug bites, etc. Yes I did say that it the oil stimulates the immune system and help the body detox. This is why angelica root oil is great for bug bites because it helps the body fight toxin and gets rid of them faster.

 -          I mentioned that angelica root oil does not have an attractive scent and it smells like medicine. I would not use this oil for perfume. Lol if you chose to do so feel free to. Last little tip from me (for the ladies); dilute with carrier oil and rub in circular motion on your abdomen during monthly cycle. It will help with the blood flow. You can also do that when a stomach comes.

Hyssop oil

Hyssop oil

I was impressed with the bottle, not the exterior but interior. The droppers in essential oil bottles are usually made of plastic and they would release chemicals slowly into the oil. This is a major flaw in most essential oil droppers. However with this hyssop bottle I noticed that the dropper does not touch the oil (a gap between the oil). Therefore the oil would only come in contact with the dropper if you were to actually use it.
First of all I have never had hyssop oil before therefore I didn’t know how it smelled like or how to use it. Since it’s an essential oil, usually they can be used for massages and home remedy. Before I even use a dab of the oil I researched about the safety and uses of hyssop oil.

The service;
I also notice the name below Hyssop which caught my off guard because it says “Lavandula Angustifolia”. Not sure what it means but Lavandula means lavender so I emailed the seller about it. To be honest, the service was not what I expected because the person was rude at first. Not saying the customer service was bad but definitely has room for improvement. The communication was prompt however. I had to point it out the second time and seller did admit it was an error on the label.

Back to the oil shall we. The hyssop oil has a strong scent which I like because many oils are not pure even though the label claims them to be. This bottle has a strong scent which I only had to take a little sniff and it filled my lungs with a penetrating floral fragrance. Hyssop can be used in easy remedy for bugs and insect repellent. If you do get bitten by mosquitos especially, apply one dab of the oil. I find it very effective and there were no signs of irritation. As summer is approaching, Hyssop oil will be extremely handy.
Hyssop oil is also very effective in relieving stress physically and mentally. You can use hyssop oil in bath (2 drops) and it will relieve your stress. Great for a Friday night no?

I use essential oil in my hair after I finish washing my hair usually in shower. All you need is a bucket of water, don’t fill too much (about 5 cups). Put 2 drops of hyssop oil. Rinse clean hair in the water for cleansing purposes. Make sure you gently rinse the water in your scalp as well. I do this because it makes my scalp feels good and clean. Also hyssop oil smells fantastic!

Peppermint and Eucalyptus essential oil
Ovvio sent me two bottles to review!
I had a few sniff of both oils and the peppermint made my inside feel minty o.o
I’ve never try Eucalyptus oil so I can the scent is very green similar to tea tree but more calming. Also a bit minty and gives that chilly feeling. I think they would do a fine job on fabrics! I mean essential oil are not for cloths but just a little dab would last a long time ^^ I don’t like using perfume so these babies will do <3
